Lupines were a docile race that strove to find the beauty in all things. Their science was conducted for the sake of art, never for gain. They grew for a time and then stagnated, comfortable with their present way of life. Eventually, humans moved close to them and became friends but the humans grew while the Lupines remained stagnant. Some Lupines joined the humans, using their powers for gain which was frowned upon by the rest of the clan. Eventually the towns were separate and disliked each other greatly. The artisans tried to halt the progress of the humans a few times until the humans realised there were fantastic resources beneath the artisan town and decided to drive them away. Things got out of hand and most of the artisan clan was killed, along with many human sympathisers, thought to be pretending to save themselves. The Lupines were all but wiped out and due to the growth of humans, all of which had never seen them before and thus didn't trust them, the Lupines had nowhere to go and were thought to have gone extinct.
